• Finnish for Foreigners. WINTER.


    8 live online lessons + homework 10-15min / day

    Finnish for Foreigners is tailored for adults, who are interested in learning Finnish and finding out facts about Finland. You will learn a great deal about Finnish habits and life in Finland as well as Finnish language. 

    After each lesson you will get further explanations and motivating assignments in your email. This email is called “homework”.

    You will learn pronunciation, basic grammar and good-to-know vocabulary:  greetings, numbers, colors,  weekdays end much more.  After the course you can write an SMS to a friend or read the menu in Finnish. You will be able to make an order in a café.

    To participate you need a computer (or laptop) with microphone. Camera is necessary.

    Small group – max 10 students. 

    Finnish for Foreigners is organized  twice per year: Winter  group January to March and  Summer group May to July. After Finnish for Foreigners you can continue on Moving on with Finnish. There will be a group of Moving on 1 starting in the end of March and in August, on the same day and time as Finnish for Foreigners. The exact starting dates will be announced later.

    For students who have some knowledge of Finnish. This course is a second part of series of two. Before you join this group, you need to know some Finnish, such as the days and months in Finnish, numbers, colours, to describe where you live and you must know how to conjugate verbs in present.
