To participate you need a computer (or laptop) with microphone. Webcam is necessary.
This course is suitable for students, who like to study in a group, and want to speak with other students. Starting level is Finnish on CEFR level A2.1. (= Advanced beginner). The language of instruction will be mostly Finnish and partly English.
We will work together in Zoom 60 min per week, and you will have about 1-2 hours of homework. Homework includes online games, listening to music, exercises in the book and  written assignments by email to the teacher. Don’t be afraid – the teacher shows the way.
You need a text book: Oma suomi 1 by Kristiina Kuparinen & Terho Tapaninen (2022 edition).
- You will learn to read, write and talk:
- about past events (imperfekti, also negative past)
- about music, nature and typical Finnish leisure-time activities
- about work
- about education
To participate you need a computer (or laptop) and a microphone and the textbook Oma Suomi 1.

Schedule: Wednesdays at 5:00 – 6:00 pm Finnish time. No lesson Feb. 19th.
