Moving on 1 – Finnish from A1.2. Part 1


For students who know a little bit Finnish.

This is the first part of a series of two. You can enroll to one or both parts. The second part begins November 30th.

To participate you need a computer (or laptop) with microphone. Camera is necessary.


Live online once a week and homework.

Moving on -courses willl take you to CEFR level A1.3. The second part will be on Tuesdays at 12-1.30 pm (Helsinki time), starting November 30th.

Small group, max. 12 students.

Moving on is a two times 5 week online course for you, who know the basics of Finnish pronunciation, grammar and some vocabulary.

On this first part of Moving on, you will learn: 

  • to tell about your family, profession and/or studies
  • to describe where you live
  • to buy tickets in public transport
  • Verb conjugation and many verbs
  • to tell what time/month/year it is
  • Fun phrases and important questionsAutumn in Finland

All this in only 5 weeks!

Teaching is in English, but you will speak a lot of Finnish.

The course will be held online via the conference application Zoom. During lessons you will study also in Zoom Breakoutrooms. To participate you need a computer with an internet connection and headphones with a microphone. A camera is also necessary.

After your payment has been processed, you will get instructions for the course as well as the Zoom link.
